Students are given many exciting opportunities throughout the year.  Along with their 35 weekly lessons, students can be a part of the Premier Club, exciting Conservatory competitions, NFMC Festival, multiple recitals, and awesome Music Camps!

Lesson tuition is divided into ten monthly payments beginning September 1st and ending with the final payment on June 1st.  Payments can be paid for online at crownmusicconservatory.com. Please make checks payable to Crown Music Conservatory.  Invoices are sent out on the 25th of each month and payments are due the 1st of each month. There is an extended grace period for emergency circumstances until the 5th of each month at 5:00 pm. All payments not received by that time will be marked late and receive a $20.00 late fee. The late fee as well as monthly payment must be paid the following day or lessons will be suspended until paid in full. Students who choose not to pay the late fee will also have lessons suspended.

Tuition is not refunded for missed or cancelled lessons.

Summer Camps

Little Hands Make Music Camp - July TBD 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ~ $70.00 ~ ages 4-6

Young Composers Music Camp - July TBD 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ~ $80.00 ~ ages 7-12

Recitals

We have two large recitals each year, and a few mini recitals that students can participate in. Our Winter Recital is a split event with grades K4 thru 5th performing first, a short intermission and then grades 6th thru 12th. Our Spring Recital is a themed recital in which performances reflect particular themes. Parents will be asked to bring refreshments to both.

Premier Club

The Premier Club is a free club for our Conservatory students! The club seeks to reinforce music in a way that cannot be done in the class room alone and also allows students to get together with other music students. It is one Monday a month from 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Music Conservatory building.  Students should arrive 5 minutes early with a pencil. Last year, our theme was “Music from Around the World.”

Lesson Attendance

It is the responsibility of the parent or student to be on time to each lesson.  If a student arrives late, that time will not be made up, and the lesson will still end at its scheduled time.  Students must arrive with all of their materials. We are not responsible for students after their lesson; parents must pick up promptly.

Missed Lessons

Parents must notify instructors one week prior via My Music Staff if they will be absent from a lesson. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence in which no make up lesson will be given. For sickness or emergency situations, students must communicate the absence via phone call or text as soon as possible. Failure to communicate this absence with the teacher will result in an unexcused absence in which no make up lesson will be given.

Students will only receive 4 excused absences throughout the Conservatory year. All lessons are non-refundable. Teachers may offer online lessons on days of inclement weather, out of town, or if a student is sick but still able to have lesson. Teachers may use a monthly group classes for their make up lessons.

Materials

Each student will be required to obtain material needed for his/her individual progress and learning.  Students must have a bag to carry books, a black three ring binder, sheet protectors, assignment notebook, pencil, and books assigned by the teacher.  At each lesson, the teacher records what the students must practice for the week in their assignment book.

Practicing

Piano students must have either a tuned acoustic piano or a digital keyboard that is full-size (88 keys).  Acoustic pianos should be tuned twice a year.  Practicing should be distraction free, and students should practice assigned work from the Instructor.

Discontinued Lessons

Occasionally a student will want to quit, but this is a decision that should be made thoughtfully and discussed by parent, teacher, and student so that lessons can cease on a positive note. The teacher may also discontinue lessons if there is unpaid tuition, lack of interest, or excessive amount of absences/unprepared lessons. Lessons cancelled by parents or teacher before the Conservatory year is up will be charged a $40.00 Cancellation Fee due upon last lesson.
